Ryan A. McCoy, M.D., F.A.A.P., F.A.C.S.M.

Dr. Ryan A. McCoy joined Pediatric Care Associates as a general pediatrician in July, 2001. Dr. McCoy was born and raised in Schaumburg and is an alumnus of Schaumburg High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. McCoy graduated from The University of Illinois-Chicago College of Medicine at Rockford, and subsequently attended his pediatric residency at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. He is a member of the medical staff at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Amita St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates and Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Dr. McCoy is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. McCoy practices general primary care pediatrics encompassing the overall health and well- being of infants, children and adolescents. He is available to see both well and sick children on a full time basis. Dr McCoy also has a special interest in sports medicine and has been a sideline Team Physician for the Schaumburg H.S. football team since 1999. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Dr. McCoy has three sons with his wife, Suzanne. The entire McCoy family are die-hard Fighting Illini fans. In his leisure time, Dr. McCoy enjoys reading (mostly history) and coaching his boys’ baseball and basketball teams.
